Bonnaroo has canceled this year’s festival due to flooding and other issues that made the festival grounds unsafe.

In a series of tweets, Bonnaroo said: “Although the weather this weekend looks exceptional, currently Centeroo is waterlogged in many areas, the ground is incredibly saturated on our toll roads and campgrounds. are inundated to the point that we cannot drive. or park vehicles safely. We have done everything in our power to try to move the show forward, but Mother Nature has sent us a tremendous amount of rain over the past 24 hours, and we have no more options to try to make it happen. so that the event takes place safely and in a manner worthy of the Bonnaroo experience.

As the Tennessee Reported, heavy rains and flooding – some of which were linked to Hurricane Ida – had already forced the festival to downsize part of its campsite and delay its opening.

Bonnaroo said all tickets purchased through Front Gate Tickets for this year’s festival will be refunded “in as little as 30 days from the original payment method.”

“Please find ways to safely reunite with your Bonnaroo community and continue to radiate positivity during this disappointing time,” Bonnaroo said. “WE WILL SEE YOU AT THE FARM IN JUNE 2022!
