Borderlands 3 and more out of the Epic store because of Mega Sale concerns

Borderlands 3 is no longer available for pre-order at Epic Store.

Since the surprise launch of Mega Sale of Epic, which offers a $ 10 discount on every purchase over $ 15, a selection of publishers has been removed from the store.

In our article on the subject, we noted that Borderlands 3 was available in the contract and we even suggested that it would be a good deal. Borderlands 3 is now listed as "coming soon" – there is no price to pay. The same goes for other upcoming games. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is also missing.

Of course, some customers had already bought Borderlands 3 before it was removed from the list. Bloodlines 2 customers will see their purchase honored upon release, but this is not yet clear for Borderlands 3.

With Epic claiming that selling Mega Sale would not cost the developer or the publisher anything, the events are a little odd. When you think about it, that makes sense: with most sales taking place after the launch, those looking for lower prices will dive into it. With a pre-launch sale, players expect the price to be even lower before buying the product. There is a reason why sales were made after the launch as far as we can remember.

This mega-sales fiasco is only one part of the growth challenges that Epic will face as their store evolves and grows. With new titles such as Ghost Recon Breakpoint available on the service in place of Steam, it still has its benefits, but it is far from flawless.
