Thinking of buying Borderlands 3 and playing with a friend or other friend on the couch? Well, you might want to wait for the moment. The split-screen co-op is currently a train wreck on the standard PlayStation 4, and it's pretty bad on the PS4 Pro.
Gamers on the Web report significant problems. Frequency of free-falling image, impossibility of loading textures, offset of seizures, abrupt frost periods when loading the game in the asset and long-term frustrations whenever someone opens a menu. At worst, a combination of these problems makes the local Borderlands 3 co-operative almost unplayable in its current form.
We say the current form because 2K indicates that it works on a fix. The publisher told IGN that he was aware of the problems and that he was trying to resolve them as quickly as possible. Let's hope we do not report this disaster again in the coming weeks.
Of course, there is controversy around all this, mainly because sites like Push Square have not received a review code before they are launched. Some sites have already reviewed Borderlands 3 before it was released, but they have gained access to a specific version of the PC game. Now, we may be starting to see why.
Oh, and if you want to know the performance of Borderlands 3 on PS4 in general, see our article on first impressions.
