Borderlands 3 will not let other players steal your loot.

We still do not know a ton of tough details about Borderlands 3, but new information provided alongside the release date reveals a fairly significant change in the way the loot falls while playing in coop.

In Borderlands 3, each player will have his own loot deposit that he is the only one to see, reveals an article on the PlayStation blog. Traditionally, everyone can see all the loot of Borderlands, which means that other players can get you a delicious gun before you have the chance to recover, but it will be a thing of the past.

Now the loot is specific to a player, which means you only see the loot you can take, and the other players will see weapons totally different from the ones you see. We do not know how it will work with objects like chests, but we can assume that they will have unique content waiting to be taken for each player. Interestingly, if all of this seems to be a disadvantage and not an improvement, you can always go back to the traditional Borderlands 2 booty settings as if nothing had happened.

The blog article also details some of the changes made to this loot, especially new additions for each gun manufacturer. He explains that "Atlas now offers weapons that pull tracking tags and smart chips; DAHL weapons have alternative fire modes; and the Maliwan range now incorporates firearms that can switch between two elements and inflict guaranteed elemental damage. "

Changes to the loot of cooperatives also go hand-in-hand with the potential integration of multiplatform co-ops, but that's what emerges from a Microsoft Store listing that may still refer only to the usual Xbox-PC crossplay used by other Microsoft Store games.

Borderlands 3 is expected to come out on September 13 with a whole series of editions and bonuses available.
