With eagle eyes Borderlands 2 Players have discovered another Easter egg hidden in the game's new free downloadable content, released during E3 2019. Commander Lilith and the fight for the shrine, detail-conscious players can spot a small yellow box. This box, a box of frozen Torfre brand waffles, will not stand out – unless you're a Strange things fan, that's it. Gearbox managed to sneak Strange things Easter egg in Borderlands 2.

The waffle box alone can suffice Strange things fans call it an Easter egg, but Gearbox decided to make sure the message was clear. On the side of the box is written in a hurry, "Property of 11.". The reference being Strange things Eleven telepath, whose favorite food, after spending years in a government testing center, has turned out to be frozen waffles. Eggo brand frozen waffles are his favorite.

For Borderlands 2 players who want to hunt down the Strange things Easter egg for yourself, you will need to advance enough in the DLC missions to be able to access the Paradise lab. Also known as the laboratory of a certain character, you must kill whose name could be a little too spoiler. The Easter egg is in one of the cells of the prison located on the upper floor of the laboratory. The box is on the floor in front of a wall of green and black organic appearance.

There is nothing special to gain by finding the Easter egg, apart from the satisfaction of being both a huge Borderlands 2 and Strange things nerd. Really, however, is not this reward enough?

Easter eggs

Gearbox has clearly set up something special in Borderlands 2S Commander Lilith and the fight for the shrine DLC. Returning to a game that's almost seven years old and adding a story of rich downloadable content in interesting detail is a fun, clever and caring thing. It's something very cool for fans of the franchise and makes the upcoming release of Borderlands 3 all the more exciting and interesting. If all goes well, there is something for Strange things fans to discover in Borderlands 3, as well.

Borderlands 2 is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One via Borderlands: The beautiful collection.
