Less than 24 hours after the announcement of the first construction of a Las Vegas tunnel by Elon Musk's Boring Company, she aired a video of two Teslas races – the only one in the world. one using the roads, the other a Boring Tunnel Company.

The Tesla taking the tunnel takes 1 minute and 36 seconds to reach the destination, reaching 127 mph. The car traveling the roads arrives after 4 minutes and 44 seconds, after being stuck at the red light.

The race was held in Los Angeles, where the Boring Company owns its 1.16 mile Hawthorne test tunnel. The video revealed that a key element of the tunnel design has changed.

This demonstration of the tunnel was different from the previous ones in which cars were dragged on rails.

Responding to a tweet that asked if there were more rails and that the car was just rolling on autopilot, Musk says: "Rather." When asked why the original rail system had been abandoned, Musk added: "It's simple and it works."

Earlier, the CEO had said he hoped the tunnels would let people escape the "soul-destroying" traffic in Los Angeles. Musk unveiled the interior of the tunnel in December, taking the anchor of CBS Gayle King for a ride at a much quieter speed of 20 mph.

Musk announced on Wednesday that Boring 's first commercial project, to build a mile long connecting the two ends of the Las Vegas Convention Center, will be completed by the end of the year.
