Bose’s ‘Sport Open headphones’ with ear hooks appear at FCC

It looks like Bose is considering another set of true wireless headphones to join its QuietComfort and Sport headphones. Today filings for “Sport Open Headphones” have appeared at the Federal Communications Commission – along with numerous photos of the unannounced product it contains.

The design makes it clear that Bose is going for a set of headphones for fitness, with a fully open plastic exterior that appears to just rest against your ear. It is held in place by an ear hook and there is a button visible at the bottom of each ear cup. A charger for the Sport Open headphones is also visible in the backrest. The product name is confirmed several times in the documentation and is visible on the labels.

The edge contacted Bose for details on the Sport Open headphones. The Sport headphones released earlier this year cost $ 159, but they have an in-ear design with silicone tips. This open alternative could be more targeted to people who don’t like the feel of the headphones and want more awareness of their surroundings when running or other fitness activities.

We don’t know a lot about the Sport Open earphones yet, like battery life, sweat resistance, and how this totally open style will actually be. sound compared to the company’s more traditional headphones.
