(Reuters) – Alphabet Inc ( GOOGL.O ) Google is expected to be fined a record 4.3 billion euros ($ 5.00 billion) by the United States. European Union on its Android system, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The EU antitrust authority accused Google of using its dominant Android to marginalize rivals after a three-year investigation – considered the most important of the three European cases against the engine of most popular internet search in the world.

Google was not immediately available to comment.

Vestager will hold a press conference at 11:00 GMT, announced the European Commission, where she is expected to announce a record fine against Google.

The Commission stated that Vestager would speak in an antitrust case, but did not provide details.
