Comedians Celeste Ntuli and Hlope are tied for the most nominated comic at this year's Comics' Choice Awards
Celeste Ntuli and Skhumba Hlope are nominated in four categories each. Ntuli is nominated in the native language, Game Changer, Flying Solo and in a new category introduced this year, the Comedy G Award.
Hlope was the most nominated comedian last year and this year again he was nominated in the Native Tongue, Flying Solo, Gamechanger and Savannah comic book of the year
The Couple is followed closely by Loyiso Gola and Carvin H Goldstone, each of whom has three nominations.

This was a record year for the annual South African Savannah comic book awards with a huge spike in entries. No less than 272 South African comedians are vying for one of the 10 awards, while 53 have come to the continent to be crowned pan-African comic of the year.
17 comedians were honored in the "Lifetime Achievement" category. The new advertised category, The Comedy G Award, also arouses much enthusiasm
. This award is given to industry celebrities, who pay tribute to comedians who produce night and day a great comedy. those who simply take the microphone and work in the room.
The nominees were announced at a press luncheon at the Goliath Comedy Club on Wednesday, but we will have to wait to see who will leave with the Waldo at the main awards. Event on September 8 at Lyric Theater
