Boy with autism comforted by a classmate: an 8-year-old boy holds the hand of a crying classmate on the first day of school, Mom publishes on Facebook, learns that a boy is autism

The first day of school can be nerve-wracking for most children, so an 8-year-old boy from Wichita, Kansas, did everything possible to make it easier for his classmates. Courtney Moore took several pictures of her son, Christian, on the first day of school at Minneha Core Knowledge Elementary.

One of the photos holds more attention than the others – it shows Christian holding his comrade's hand while the other boy cries.

"I'm so proud of my son," Moore wrote on Facebook sharing the nice photo. "[He saw] a kid crouched in a corner crying, so he went to comfort him, grabbed his hand and led him inside the school! It's an honor to raise a child so loving and caring! This is a child with a big heart, the first day of school started well. "

Moore's message has been shared nearly 4,000 times. It has also attracted the attention of someone important: April Crites, the mother of the other boy in the photo, whom Christian has consoled.

"Tell your son that I thank you very much! This little boy he's helped is my son and he's autistic," commented Crites on Moore's post, according to KWCH-TV. "I am afraid that he will be intimidated every day by his difference and that your son will warm my heart.If there were more children like him, I would not worry about such things. "

Moore was touched by the response of the other mother. She shared that Christian was struggling with the word and that the two boys were unique in their own way, reports KWCH-TV. "I hope this will be the beginning of a new friendship for our two sons.Your son was so kind," she wrote.
