The Boston Bruins extended their winning streak to six on Monday night in an exhilarating manner.
Just as it looked like the B's were going to rout the Sharks to SAP Center, San Jose eliminated a 3-0 deficit and even took a 5-4 lead in the third period. But Boston would not be denied, scoring a tying goal at the end of the last quarter before Charlie McAvoy scored the winning goal in overtime.
In addition to all the scores, the contest received an extra boost thanks to a handful of dubious referees' calls. Taking all this into account, Brad Marchand's NSFW game summary hits the nail.
It was not the best win of the B, but it is a victory a victory.
Boston will be looking to extend its winning streak to seven on Wednesday night as they visit Vegas Gold Knights, reigning West Conference champion. The face-off from the T-Mobile Arena is 22:00. AND.
