AppleInsider is closely using the latest beta version of iOS 12.3, which includes the new refitted TV application and several other minor changes.

The first beta release of iOS 12.3 contained the first iteration of the all-new TV application, Apple's future home-grown content. The second beta version of the app has received a new introductory screen, though rare, which means that the TV app is the focus of all your content.

Apple has also added Epix as an Apple TV channel alongside Showtime, Starz, Tastemade and Smithsonian. Apple TV channels are services to which you can subscribe directly from the TV application. However, during the beta period, they always require you to look at third-party apps. Once launched, this content will be available to watch directly from the TV application.

We have been using the TV application quite frequently since its launch in the first beta, and we are pleased to see how much more stable it is in beta two. In beta one, it would freeze constantly, making use difficult.

The second beta also contains more changes to the Wallet app for launching the Apple card. The empty icons to the left of your transactions have now been removed in this beta, with only the text available to indicate where a purchase was made. This applies to third party cards. On the Apple Pay Cash Card – and on the next Apple Card – each transaction has an icon on the left that aligns with the person, business or category in which a purchase is made.

Finally, the palm rejection bug on iPad has been fixed. Previously, the screen jumped to the detection of your palm when using Apple Pencil. This has been fixed and works as expected in the latest beta.

Make sure you follow everything that has changed in the first beta of iOS 12.3 on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
