National Border Patrol Council Chairman Brandon Judd argued that the Biden administration “emboldened” cartels on the southern border after armed cartel members mocked members of the Texas National Guard. Judd appeared on “Fox & Friends First” Thursday to discuss the border crisis, saying crime along the border would continue to rise unless the Biden administration steps in to ease the chaos.

GOP GOVERNORS UNVEIL 10-POINT PLAN TO END CRISIS AT BORDERS, CALLING ON BIDEN TO ACT

BRANDON JUDD: These images are disturbing, and I hope they have disturbed viewers at home. But for law enforcement officials like me, it’s not surprising. My agents and I understand that these cartels are there to make a profit. They understand exactly what is going on with politics here in the United States. They understand the mood of the American public, and they understand that with the Defund the Police movement, with all the talk about eliminating law enforcement and defamation, they have become emboldened. They know they can get away with things they never could have done otherwise. This is why it’s so important for the Biden administration to step up and understand that crime is going to continue to rise unless it does something about it. Implement the policies necessary to ensure the safety of the American public.
