The flyweight title will be up for grabs at UFC 269 as Brandon Moreno faces former champion Deiveson Figueiredo for the third time in a row when they meet on December 11.
Multiple sources confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday, with both fighters agreeing to the match. ESPN originally reported the contest.
Moreno will seek the first defense of his flyweight title in December after presenting a dominant showcase during his last meeting with Figueiredo in June. That night the old Ultimate fighter competitor finished Figueiredo with a bare rear choke midway through the third round.
The victory came six months after Moreno and Figueiredo fought to a majority draw after a five-round battle at UFC 255.
