Expected return this weekend

This is not even in March and the Mets have almost every day a new guy looking for a new reason. This time, it was not really related to an injury.

Mets player Brandon Nimmo was excused on Wednesday for eating undercooked chicken that he had prepared on Tuesday and was spending the night throwing up.

"He cooked chicken and could not cook, so he threw up all night," said director Mickey Callaway. "We have to teach him to cook so that he does not miss any more games."

Clearly, Nimmo needs someone to teach him how to cook. Whether or just take a trip to the nearest KFC or Popeye. Nimmo will also be absent Thursday. The charismatic player played against DH on Tuesday and is expected to make his first start in the field potentially this weekend.
