Atlanta Braves player Ronald Acuna Jr. and the team are finalizing a $ 100 million contract extension for an eight-year period, ESPN sources said.

The deal includes a $ 10 million buyback on two options worth $ 17 million each.

The new contract starts this year. Acuna was making $ 560,000 this season.

The 21-year-old won the National League rookie title last season, beating 0.293 at batting with 26 home runs and 64 RBIs.

Acuna will be the youngest player to receive a $ 100 million contract. The team has it now through its 30 year season.
