Mark Feinsand, of MLB.com, reports that the Braves and Yankees are favorites of independent player Dallas Keuchel. Feinsand followed a little later saying that the Yankees are probably the clear favorite but as we know, situations like this can change quickly, so it needs to be monitored.

The worst news for Andrew McCutchen and the Philadelphia Phillies. An MRI revealed that McCutchen had a torn LCA left knee and that he would miss the rest of the 2019 season. McCutchen was injured while attempting to refer to a draw in Monday's game against the Padres .

Miggy plays through a chronic right knee injury

Kneeling problems forced Miguel Cabrera to quit training at last weekend's Atlanta series. He received a good dose of good news on Tuesday as he may return to training but will be limited to DH duties. An MRI revealed a chronic disease of Cabrera's knee and, although a surgical procedure was being discussed, it was finally decided that best handling this day-to-day issue was the best solution.

McNeil back from the IL; Update on Mets Injuries

The New York Mets activated Jeff McNeil on Tuesday and may be on the verge of receiving additional reinforcements soon. The Mets said Robinson Cano, Justin Wilson, Brandon Nimmo and Dominic Smith were recovering from their various injuries and that they could all be back soon.
