Campina Grande records 563 dengue, zika and chikungunya notifications, according to Health | Paraíba

According to the director of environmental monitoring of the municipality, Rossandra Oliveira, there are 396 dengue cases reported and 147 confirmed. Of zika are 102 notifications and 47 confirmed cases. The cases of chikungunya represent 65 notifications and 47 confirmations. Another disturbing fact is that there are seven cases of dengue with warning signs (dengue hemorrhagic).

Still according to Rossandra Oliveira, Campina Grande has recorded this year the case of a dengue patient died and another who died of zika. These two cases have already been confirmed, but there is yet another case of death that is under investigation as dengue fever.

In the city, the neighborhoods that register increase in the notifications: Falklands, Three Sisters, Jardim Paulistano, Cruzeiro, Bodocongó and Catolé. For this reason, the secretariat returned to carry out operations with "smoked" cars in these areas. In addition, the city relies on the actions of 197 agents to fight against endemic diseases.

"The most worrying cases are the Malvinas and the Três Sisters, which are already considered an epidemic due to the increase in cases.While this is disturbing, we have no profile epidemic in Campina Grande, as this would require at least 1,200 cases, but even so, the population needs help, "said the director.
