Now that the 13 have been found, the purpose of the rescue operations is to bring food and medical supplies to the caves. According to the military, the food that will be delivered to boys will be sufficient for at least four months.

"Our mission is to search, rescue and return," said the governor of Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand, where the network of caves is located.
How did they get trapped in the caves?
