A micro-bus carrying 17 military policemen was attempted in the town of Feira de Santana (109 kilometers from Salvador). According to the Central Police blog, the army left the Guard Battalion, next to Feira Prison, when the vehicle where they were was approached by three bandits.
The action occurred when the driver of the micro-bus reduced speed to get through the holes and was surprised by the suspects, who threw in the vehicle that was destined for the city of Amelia Rodrigues. After an intense exchange of gunfire, the thieves fled into a thicket.
