Another criminal action involving Pimentel is sent to Electoral Justice in MG | Minas Gerais

In May of this year, the Federal Public Prosecutor denounced the PT for ideological lies. He is suspected of omitting income and expenses by reporting his campaign to the state government in 2014, the so-called "box 2". It was the fourth complaint against Pimentel under the acronym operation.

Now the process must be sent to one of the electoral areas of Belo Horizonte. Publication of the decision is scheduled for August 1, after the court recess.

In this criminal action, number 901, Pimentel is not a defendant, as the complaint was not badyzed by the STJ, which declined jurisdiction to try and prosecute.

The decision follows the STJ's understanding of restricting the privileged forum to governors and court counselors. Only criminal investigations and prosecutions of cases that have occurred during the term of office and related to the exercise of the position will remain before the courts.
