Low-voltage customers, which account for 70.70% of consumers of Energisa Sul-Southeast, will have an average effect of 15.06%. In this group are residential consumers, with 14.96%, and commercial and rural consumers, with 15.22%. For high and medium voltage consumers, such as industries, the average effect will be 16.74%.
Of the total amount readjusted, the bulk relates to the purchase of energy and does not stay at the distributor – in this case, it only raises the value of the tariff to pay for the purchase energy to producing agents.
The purchase of energy had a major impact on this year's tariff adjustment – 13.30% – due to the country's driest hydrological situation in recent months, which caused a higher price of thermoelectric plants and the effect of the new annual guaranteed income (AGR) calculated by Aneel for renegotiated plants.
Of the adjusted total, only 0.24% will be with the distributor.
The tariff adjustment is a process regulated by Aneel, provided for in the company's concession agreement. Generally, the value of the tariff can be adjusted each year – the annual rate adjustment – and every five years in the periodic rate review process.
The electricity tariff is composed of distribution costs, which form the plot B. It is by this part that Energisa Sul-Sudeste distributes energy to its customers, pays employees, suppliers and service providers, maintains and networks and electrical systems, in addition to making investments.
The other installment, called Portion A, is composed of transportation and energy production costs, as well as fees and taxes.
In the annual rate adjustment process, involving Parcel B, Aneel favors the readjustment of this portion in order to correct its value by the accumulated inflation index over the last year.
