Nearly 214,000 people in the priority group have been vaccinated against the flu in Campinas (SP) since the beginning of the campaign, according to a survey from the Municipal Health Department, but the index is below the average. 90% coverage goal, with only 82.94% of target audience reached.
Poor adherence among children and pregnant women is mainly responsible for the decline in numbers, since only 61.09% of women were vaccinated, while 65.81% of young people took the annual dose. The target audience with the best access is the elderly, puerperium and teachers – the latter far exceeding the target set.
In all, since the beginning of the Ministry of Health's campaign, on April 23, until the last Monday, 213,956 doses were applied in the municipal network.
