WhatsApp Beta brings a feature that can clear "boring" notifications on Android

According to new information from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started working on a new feature that may appeal to many users on Android. This is a feature that allows to mark a conversation as read directly from the system's notification center.

Novelty appeared in the beta version of the app, but has no date yet to publish in the public version. Even so, when it happens, this feature can be a great ally to those people who have many conversations in the messenger or who are dealing with "boring" notifications.

This is because it is possible to choose between "answer" or "mark as read". When you press the second option, the conversation will not appear in the message counter in the application. Thus, the user no longer needs to open the application to see just a "goodbye", for example.

WABetaInfo also revealed that WhatsApp uses the "mute" function for groups and individuals of the notification center. Thus, it is easier to avoid this annoying colleague or even to talk to them in a family group, for example.

For the moment, the latest news are hidden in WhatsApp Beta Android 2.18.214). For this reason, the features are not accessible to the user. This is because the messaging team still needs to make some improvements, which may take a few days or weeks.

What do you think of the new feature? Will it be useful? Tell us your opinion here in the comments.
