According to the Ministry of Health's bulletin, Brazil has recorded 62 deaths and 1659 confirmed dengue cases in 2018. Of confirmed infections, 136 were considered serious and 1,523 with warning signs
. from December 2017 to June 9, 2018. The Central West region had the highest number of probable dengue cases (37.5%), according to the ministry.
Chikungunya and Zika – The government confirmed eight deaths due to chikungunya in 2018. There were 30,251 confirmed cases in June 2018. The Southeast region recorded the highest number of cases.
Regarding the Zika virus, the Ministry of Health records 1,674 confirmed cases of infection in the Region
In adults, the Ministry of Health has reported no deaths by Zika virus in 2018. Since 2015, however, the record represents 327 child deaths related to the virus. However, another 53 deaths were clbadified as probable. In these, it was not possible to perform more accurate tests.
