According to SES, the goal of Mato Grosso is to vaccinate 202,000 children. In the country, an estimated 11,000 children receive doses of vaccines.

The "D" day of childhood immunization will be held on August 18 in all public health facilities.

The secretary also pointed out that the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps and rubella) should be administered in two doses to the public between the ages of 12 months and 29 years, in addition to health professionals of all ages.

The population between 30 and 49 years old should only take one dose.

In Mato Grosso, seven cities are on the list with low immunization coverage: Jauru (3.36), Denise (16.67), Nova Brasilândia (20.83), Nobres (31.05), Reserve from Cabaçal (31,43), Pedra Preta (35,58) and Vale de São Domingos (41,18).

According to the Ministry, the minimum vaccination coverage to rule out the risk of return of the disease is 50%.

In June of this year, SES published the case of two cases of measles, after 19 years without any notification.

Cases were identified in Guarantã do Norte, 721 km from Cuiabá.
