(CCM) – Instagram has confirmed that it is conducting tests with a small portion of its users who have public accounts. The purpose of the action is to offer social network participants the ability to delete subscribers without them noticing them or that they receive a notification regarding the withdrawal.

This measure is part of the company's strategy to give its user greater control over his privacy within the social network, even if he chooses not to have a private account . Initially, the test is conducted with users of the Android operating system and the company did not disclose the forecast for the tool to be distributed to the entire network of network participants.

To find out if you have been selected to participate in the test, the user must open his profile and click on Followers. Next to the Follow or Follow button is a set with three points horizontally. By touching this option, the user can delete subscribers, preventing access to publications and stories. If you do not see the new button with the three points in the subscriber list, it means that the profile was not selected to participate in the test.
