A ship of about 30,000 tons of orange juice almost invaded the Avenue de Ponta da Praia, in the port of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo. The ship called "Orange Sun" was loaded with about 30,000 tons of orange juice and had left the channel of the port of Santos around 17:20 Thursday (19). The ship touched the bottom of the sea and came very close to the smaller boats and the wall of the avenue.
According to UOL, it is unclear why the vessel veered to the right when leaving the harbor, leaving the cbad in front of and touching the seabed.
The tugs helped the "orange sun" to move towards the bridge area, where the boats are waiting to enter the harbor port.
The Navy made an inspection to certify that the ship suffered no serious damage and that it was able to travel.
The publication notes that the Liberian flag ship, after arriving from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, will continue to New Jersey port in the United States.
The Navy also opened an investigation to find out the causes and the makers of the accident. The ship's crew testified before the Brazilian authorities this morning (20).
The São Paulo Port Authority (CPSP) reported that no one had been injured and that there was no pollution of the environment .
