Ministry of Labor auditors conducted seven inspections between 2005 and 2013 at Fazenda Campestre, where the Minister maintained a coffee plantation. In addition to the two employees who had been working for three years without registration, the inspection revealed deficiencies in terms of safety and hygiene on the farm.

According to the records of the offense, workers had access to the tank with agrotexic, which was near the dining room employees. "Great is the chance of contamination, because not all workers are trained to handle agrotxico," says legal counsel for the National Confederation of Rural Workers, Carlos Eduardo Chaves Silva.

Ministry of Labor inspectors still accuse Vieira de Mello of the precariousness of the electrical installations and the risk of accidental contact with the helicopter.
