DmC Devil May Cry, the title of the series that was developed by Ninja Theory, the studio recently acquired by Microsoft, could not win a place in the purists' heart of the series, however, the team who is developing Devil May Cry 5, the next game in the series, admits that they have learned a lot from Ninja Theory.

Matt Walker, producer of Devil May Cry 5, tells VG247 that Devil May Cry 5 should not despise the work of Ninja Theory, pointing out that "we all love DMC."

"Itsuno-san explicitly said that DmC's spirit is as important as the other titles in the series and that he is just as proud of it."

Although Devil May Cry 5 is a sequel direct from Devil May Cry 4, released more than 10 years ago, Matt Walker said that "we learned a lot from working with Ninja Theory in this title" and that Hideaki Itsuno, the director of the new game, "Applied what he learned what we did in DMC5."

"As I mentioned before, Itsuno-san learned from our experience in all DMC games, including DMC, but that being said, following DMC 4, I think you can expect DMC5 to extend the battle philosophies established from DMC1 to DMC4. "

Devil May Cry 5 to be released in 2019. Rev below the revelation trailer for E3 2018.
