The Christmas tree of the lagoon is back after two years of absence. The inauguration was held on Saturday evening (the 1st), at 9:00 pm, with a synchronized show of lights and games lasting 7 minutes.
Starting this Sunday (2), there will be a series of free shows and events to allow everyone to view the tree without limit.

Throughout the month of December, the region will have a program with shows and other activities. Planned attractions include Christmas special stage displays, photo panels, pedal boat renovations and tricycles tours that can be scheduled.
Another highlight will be the renovation of the Patins Park pergola, which will be recovered with the help of the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (Iphan), following the initial projects.
This is the only project to receive funds from the town hall for recovery. The site will be insulated with coatings during this time to avoid accidents.
Rio Tree will host several free events, also sponsored by sponsors. Special pedalos and tricycles will operate free of charge on weekends. There will also be a Mirante near the Lagoa Remo stadium with a grandstand.
There will also be four special interactive Christmas decorations offered by Petrobras post offices, so that Cariocas and tourists can record the best memories of the Rio tree. At the first performance, this Sunday (2) will be a tribute to the National Day of Samba. The opening will be with Flor do Samba, wheel formed only by women. Next, Pretinho da Serrinha, a samba singer named at the Grammy Awards.
Until the last show, January 6, the stage will leave room for artists from different regions of Rio and other cities, strolling in rock, MPB, clbadical music and the rhythms of carnival, among others.
