Federal Supreme Court Minister Luis Roberto Barroso on Monday lodged a complaint against former President Michel Temer in connection with the port investigation before the Federal Court in Brasilia. Barroso 's decision will force Temer to stop responding to the indictment in the Supreme Court. The emedebista will be the subject of an investigation before the first judicial instance.
The president of the time was denounced by Attorney General Raquel Dodge at the end of 2018 for crimes of pbadive bribery and money laundering. According to the PGR, Temer would incorporate a supposed system to favor specific businesses in the issuance of a decree on the port sector.
In addition to Michel Temer, five others were charged with active and pbadive bribery and money laundering, including the former special adviser to the Presidency of the Republic, Rodrigo Rocha Loures. The prosecutor also accused the friend of the president, retired Colonel of Military Police João Baptista Lima Filho, of crimes.
