The man accused of shooting 15 people and killing two at a Toronto street restaurant was suffering from serious mental disorders, his family said Monday in a statement.
Less than a day after two girls, ages 10 and 18, were killed and 13 others wounded by a sniper, the suspect was identified by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) such as Faisal Hussain, a 29-year-old Toronto resident. He was found dead shortly after the shooting, authorities said.
"We do not know why this happened," said Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders on Monday, adding that he would not speculate on the shooter's mobile. "It's too early to dismiss anything."

. The police did not identify the two girls killed in the attack. Local politician Nathaniel Erskine-Smith confirmed that the 18-year-old victim was Reese Fallon, a student who planned to study nursing.
