A 53-year-old app driver was arrested early Saturday (5), after badaulting and attempting to beat his wife at a gas station in Parque Novo Mundo, Zona Norte, São Paulo. The images of a security camera show the action.

According to military police, the man was in a car with his wife when he parked at the request of his companion. When she got out of the vehicle, he tried to knock her over three times. As he could not, the man got out of the car and began trying to remove the cell phone from the victim's hand and kick him.

Settlement officials and clients witnessed the badaults. A man who tried to help the victim was subjected to intimidation by the abuser. The military police were fired and he was arrested while he was trying to escape.

The woman was saved by police and transferred to hospital with injuries. After taking his medication, he was released and followed by the aggressor until the 73rd DP, where the case is examined.

According to the victim, it was not the first time that her husband had badaulted her. She said the driver was a former civilian police officer and had already threatened her with a firearm.
