Consumer default rates up 4.07% in June

According to data obtained by the Credit Protection Service (SPC Brazil) and the National Confederation of Traders (CNDL), the volume of consumers with overdue accounts and recorded in the accounts of debtors has accelerated in the last month of June, up 4.07% over the same period last year. This is the ninth consecutive summit in the series of historical indicators. The last time delinquency was reported decreased in November 2017 (-0.89%). In total, SPC Brasil and CNDL estimate that the country closed the first half of this year with approximately 63.6 million Brazilians with restricted CPF due to delays in the accounts. This contingent represents 42% of the country's adult population.
