Federal Police Intervene against Cargo Theft in AL and Five Other States | Alagoas

The operation takes place in Maceió, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Ceará and Pernambuco. According to the PF, 2 people were arrested in Alagoas.

64 sentences of imprisonment and 106 search and seizure orders are completed, most of them in São Paulo. In addition, the court issued three prohibition orders issued by companies involved in the receipt of stolen goods, in the city of São Miguel dos Campos, in Litoral Sul de Alagoas.

According to PF, the operation aims to dismantle a criminal organization involved in the crimes of theft and reception of cargo and trucks in several states of the northeast and southeast, using false communications of crimes theft, as well as the falsification of vehicles, beatings on insurers and other crimes.

The criminal organization relied on truck driver participation, which simulated that they had been abducted by badailants, while other members were deactivating the truck's safety devices. and to the subtraction of the load, and finally the driver appeared police agency to carry out a false communication of crime.

According to investigations, the criminal organization did not target a type of preferential merchandise.
