Leonardo returns to Milan and takes charge of the sport
Milan announced Wednesday the return of Leonardo to the club. Former player and coach of the team, the Brazilian arrives at the post of sports director.

– The history of Leonardo in Milan is unique. He has contributed to several great successes of the club as player, coach and leader.
At the age of 48, Leonardo defended the club from 1997 to 2001 and in 2002/03 as a player. In 2008, he returned to Milan as technical director and succeeded Carlo Ancelotti after his departure for Chelsea in 2009, the team's commander in 2009/10.
Leonardo had been unemployed since December 2017, when he left his post in Antalyaspor, Turkey.
Leonardo's return came after the US investment fund Elliot took control of Milan. Paolo Scaroni is the new CEO, instead of Chinese Yonghong Li.
