Rosa Weber rejects the request to declare Lula ineligible even before the registration of the application | Policy

The MBL wanted the court to rule on the issue even before Lula's candidacy was registered with the Electoral Tribunal.

Lula has been imprisoned since April, sentenced in a lawsuit related to the operation Lava Jato ( understand ).

According to the party, the registration of the candidacy will take place on August 15, date on which the deadline will be closed.

The action badyzed by Rosa Weber, presented last Friday (13), sought an injunction (interim decision) to "declare Lula's undisputed ineligibility."

In reviewing the case, the Minister understood that members of the MBL do not have the legitimacy to submit this type of application and, therefore, they would not even badyze the ## 147 ## 39; case.

According to Rosa Weber, the request is "generic, presented by the coordinators of a social movement, before the start of the period legally provided for candidatures candidatures".
