The anti-crime bill that will be sent to the National Congress in the coming days should include the proposal to criminalize the practice of box 2, including for acts already committed.
The information was anticipated by the President of the Parliamentary Front of Public Security, Deputy Captain Augusto (PR-SP), minutes after the departure of the meeting at which the Minister of Justice and of Public Security, Sergio Moro, presented the proposal to Mayor Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), re-elected Friday 1st.
"We will have no difficulty in criminalizing now. The big question is to criminalize the acts that have already taken place.
After almost an hour of discussions with Maia at the official residence of the House, Moro meets with governors and secretaries of public security to present the same text. Moro is expected to make a public statement at a press conference at noon today.
On Wednesday, the minister committed to detailing the advanced text led by Captain Augusto and formed by 299 members. In the conversation with the group which will have to examine the text from the first days of the procedure before the Congress, the suggestions for the modernization of the articles of the Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, the Code of Criminal Procedure and amendments to the Constitution will be clearly defined
The idea of the government is to strengthen the criminal law. One point that will be included is the Plea bargain which allows and encourages an agreement, a negotiation, between the accused of a crime and the Attorney General's office.
