The 64-year-old woman who was abandoned Wednesday night in a private asylum in Brusque, in the Itajaí Valley, is at a woman's home in Tijucas, Greater Florianópolis. She returned to the family home that left Thursday (12), but already Friday was hosted by a notorious. The city of Tijucas seeks a place in a public asylum.

In the security camera images of the private asylum, the elderly woman seems to get off the car with her suitcases. The car goes out and she is there alone, in the cold of about 10ºC. At dawn on Thursday, she had to spend the night at the military police barracks, after the homeowner said she could not receive her.

The situation in the house of the known is temporary. The woman provided shelter for a few days after being sought by Tijucas social badistance, until the town hall found the vacancy in a public asylum.

The elderly woman lived three years ago with a nephew and his wife. The family, from Tijucas, was located by Brusque Social Assistance and came back for the lady on Thursday.

The elderly woman did not want to record the interview and chose not to comment on the charges brought by her relatives, who say they do not have the financial and emotional conditions to stay with her. The lady came from Balneário Camboriú, where she lived with a sister, to take care of the couple's children.

The Abrupt Civil Police opened an investigation Friday (13) and intends to end the investigation into the abandonment of the disabled until next week. The victim and the witnesses have already been heard.

His nephew and his wife should be called to testify in the coming days. If it is proven, relatives can be charged with abandonment, a crime provided by the law of the former with a penalty of 6 months to 3 years imprisonment and a fine.

"We regret it because we thought that they were going to welcome [sic]," said the wife of a nephew of the victim, who appears in the pictures leaving the elderly woman in the private asylum.

On Friday morning, social workers from Tijucas visited the family. "She did not speak much, she cried a lot and she had a very confused speech, we could not understand what she meant because she was crying a lot," said a psychologist from the Social Reference Center specialized (Creas) in Tijucas Carla Castilhos. .

The situation is not a surprise to Creas employees. Last month, health workers who provide home care in the city told health professionals that the elderly woman was a victim of psychological abuse. Creas's staff was at the house where she lived, but the lady herself denied everything.

"We arrived and my little boy said that she would beat them." He would come and show his striped arm. She justified my boy to advance on her. In the long run she tells me that she had said there and that it was a lie. She said, "I do not want to stay here anymore, because you beat me, you want me to go and beat you, you beat me." And the neighbors wanted to call the police, we called her sister and her sister suggested we take her to the asylum. We thought that if they left, they would welcome us so that we do not leave in the street, "said the wife of the old woman's nephew.

The retirement home where she was deprived, has been for 18 years and currently serves 55 people. According to management, it is the first time that such a situation occurs in the place. "We called the police, we could not even get them because we were going to get complicated," said Max Otto Riegert, president of the asylum.
