The month of January was the second hottest month in the history of the city of São Paulo, but February begins with a cold front that breaks the atmospheric blockade, bringing rain and decreasing recorded heat the last days. As a result, temperatures should be milder in São Paulo as early as Monday (4). According to the Center for Climate Emergency Management (CEM), it is expected to rain heavily, with flood risks.
Already on Sunday afternoon (3), the rains resume vigor and extend into the night, with strong blows and a larger volume. The temperatures are still high, with a maximum of 29 ° C and an average of 23 ° C.
According to the CGE, the cold front follows the movement through the ocean and, at dawn on Monday (4), the rain continues and decreases only in the night.
Considering the high volume of rain, the formation of floods and the probability of extravasation of the rivers and streams of the metropolitan area of São Paulo are planned.
Temperatures range from a minimum of 19 ° C to a maximum of 25 ° C, with high air humidity and greater than 60%.
