The State Department of Health confirmed this Friday (13) the first death by arbovirus in Pernambuco this year. The victim was a 53-year-old woman who lived in the district of Paulista in the metropolitan area of Recife and died on 21 February. Death was under investigation by the State Committee of Deaths by Dengue and other Arboviruses in Pernambuco. The technicians badyzed laboratory samples and badessed the victim's residence and the period of hospitalization.
Already for Chikungunya were registered this year: 1,647 cases, of which 235 had confirmation and 714 rejected. The occurrences are 120 municipalities. In the same period last year, there were 3,380 cases, in this case a 53% reduction in 2018, compared to the 2017 data.
