The suspect to conduct drug trafficking in Alto do Cruzeiro in Cosme de Farias and the comparsa were killed on Tuesday after an exchange of gunshots with the police on a fire bridge Mário Leal Ferreira (Bonocô). According to information from the Bahia Public Security Secretariat (SSP-BA), Mateus Montenegro Estrela, appointed chief, and another man, known as Parrudo, were shot on the scene. The two still tried to escape and entered the metro station Bonoco pulling against the police.
The situation began when officers tried to approach the two criminals who, according to the SSP-BA, were maintaining a "suspicious attitude" to the Alto Cruise. Mateus and Parrudo reacted to the approach by shooting and were fired afterwards.
The suspects were saved at the State General Hospital (HGE), but they did not resist injury. They were seized with a 9mm pistol, a .38 caliber revolver and ammunition.
