According to Uber, the tool begins to appear for users on Thursday and will be available to all Brazilian subscribers until August 2nd.
The company claims that users will easily share their travels through the app with the contacts of their choice. Pbadengers can register up to five trusted contacts (such as friends and family) to share their travel itineraries on a regular basis with just one click. You will also be able to define personalized reminders so you do not forget to share trips and choose between sharing all the races or only those that take place at night.
Using the new button that automatically connects to the police, the user will be informed of his current position and information about the vehicle on the road so that they can share with the local authorities operating at 190.
The company warns that this function should be activated only in case of emergency, so that the authorities can concentrate their action where it really needs it.
In the same tool you can also access information about Application Security Center, which gathers information about the security features offered by the application, such as accident insurance and criminal background checks partner drivers.
