Uber is launching an initiative this week to facilitate the meeting between drivers and pbadengers, especially in places with a high concentration of people using the application. With a color system called Spotlight, employees will be able to know exactly which users are searching.
If they are in a busy or hard-to-reach place, customers can use smartphones screens to display color panels, which facilitates the identification at the driver's arrival. So, for example, it may look blue, while others display yellow or red indicators, rather than depending on the appearance or clothing of the pbadenger to make that distinction.
According to Uber, in addition to speeding boarding, the idea is to reduce the difficulties of users in terms of deception. There are many problematic races because of customers getting on the wrong vehicle, either by mistake or as a way to "keep up the queue". These are trips that end up being canceled or, as a result, they cause problems for both the bad pbadenger and the real pbadenger, and this should be minimized by the color system
