The truth – for many unpleasant – is that none of these foods are actually healthy, as indicated by an article published by Mega Interesting publication.

In other words, the creams are full of fat, those of butter of animal origin and margarine of vegetable origin. In the beginning, vegetable fats would be "less bad" because margarines undergo a chemical process to present their solid texture – the hydrogenation – which generates the so-called transgenic fats. Experts recommend another alternative to those interested in healthy eating: "For people with high cholesterol, it is advisable to replace butter and margarine with fresh cheese or curd," says Anna Christina Castilho nutritionist, from the Institute of Metabolism and Nutrition of São Paulo, to the same publication.
The nutritionist also points out that – for those who do not want to give up that pleasure – there is a special type of margarine, with a substance called phytosterol, which helps to reduce LDL.
