Layoffs in RI's casinos
The number of employees laid off at Twin River is increasing.
Earlier in the week, the Providence-based casino company announced 30 layoffs. Today, 60 or more people lose their jobs.
"We expect that approximately 65 table game dealers will be affected by the recent downturn due largely to the recent opening of Encore Boston," said the company's spokesperson. , Patti Doyle.
Employees are offered potential positions in the Delaware casino of the company.
