The CCA released Clemson’s full football schedule for 2021 on Thursday morning.

The start of the campaign was already fixed by contracts: his compatriot screened Georgia’s top 5 on September 4 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, then a home opener against SC State on September 11.

The list of non-conferences is completed by hosting the UConn Huskies on November 13 and renewing the rivalry of Palmetto State in South Carolina on November 27.

After a few one-off changes in 2020, the ACC returns to the regular format of eight divisional and interdivisional games with home dates against Georgia Tech (Sept. 18), Boston College (Oct. 2), Florida State (Oct. 30) and Wake Forest. (November 20) and away games scheduled for NC State (September 25), Syracuse (October 15, Friday), Pittsburgh (October 23) and Louisville (November 6).

The team plans to hold their annual spring game on Saturday April 3. Gameday’s designations for the 2021 season will be announced at a later date.

Clemson is making his very first trip to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh after hosting the Panthers in 2020 (a 52-17 win).

Due to recent lineup, Boston College is expected to play Clemson for a third consecutive year. On a related note, NC State and Louisville are returning to the schedule where the Tigers last played them, on the road.

Clemson faces Georgia for the first time since a home and home series split in 2013 (38-35 Tigers in Death Valley) and 2014 (45-21 Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium). The Bulldogs finished No.7 in the Associated Press top 25 and ninth in the final playoff standings heading into the playoffs, where they outscored Cincinnati 24-21 in the Peach Bowl.

This is Clemson’s first non-conference Power 5 opener since 2016 (19-13 win at Auburn) and first neutral venue opener since 2012 (also Auburn, 26-19 win) .

The Tigers have never played UConn before, which is an FBS independent who chose not to compete in the 2020 season. The Huskies went from 2 to 10 in the 2019 campaign and from 1 to 11 in 2018.

To wrap up the regular season, the Clemson-South Carolina soccer series had been played every season since 1909 before the SEC moved to a conference-only regular season schedule last year. The Tigers claim a seventh consecutive victory in 2021.
