Launched in stages from the end of the year, the Disney MagicMobile service is a convenient, contactless way to access MagicBand features such as theme park entry using the power of your iPhone, Apple Watch or other smart device. Guests will be able to create a Disney MagicMobile pass through the My Disney Experience app and add it to their smart device’s digital wallet. Most of the functionality will be available by simply holding your smart device near an access point, like you do with a MagicBand. The Disney MagicMobile service and its features will first be rolled out to Apple devices.

Customers can choose to use the Disney MagicMobile service or a MagicBand. Customers can even use both and switch between the two for more flexibility.

Disney has made it clear that they are not disrupting the MagicBands, as they have stated that they will also soon be introducing more MagicBands in new colors and designs featuring favorite Disney characters and stories.

The existing room digital key feature will continue to be available specifically in the My Disney Experience app, which helps guests expedite their arrival by using the online check-in service, by going directly to their room. Disney Resort hotel and using their phone to unlock their door.

Guests of Disney hotels can also pick up a Key to the World at their convenience by going to the front desk. Their design has recently changed, as more and more guests are expected to use them now.
