The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 would be released sooner than we thought, or at least that’s what a new release date leak indicates. Since Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite game at E3 2019, we haven’t seen or heard anything about the new Zelda game and sequel to the bestseller of 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And with rumors that Nintendo is holding the game for the Nintendo Super Switch launch, many Nintendo fans have slowly but surely braced themselves for another year of silence. However, it seems Nintendo fans gave up hope too soon.

According to Austrian retailer Gameware, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is released in the second quarter of 2021, that is, between April 1 and June 1. Unfortunately, the retailer doesn’t disclose anything more specific, and of course, it could be nothing more than a placeholder / guess or just the retailer looking for additional site traffic.

Interestingly, the retailer also lists a post window for Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne Remastered, claiming that the game will be released in May.

Since we haven’t heard anything salient The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 in nearly two years, a second quarter release is unlikely, however, many rumors have been inflexible about the game’s release this year. That said, if it is due out in the second trimester, it will have to be announced very soon. It’s going to be one of Nintendo’s greatest games of a generation, and it’s sure to want to get some proper marketing before it drops.

For now, take everything here with a grain of salt. If this was an Amazon or Best Buy listing, there would be little room for doubt, but smaller, region-specific retailers like this are known to manage placeholders and fish traffic with inaccurate dates and windows.
